Curriculum

Our School Curriculum broadly follows the National Curriculum from Reception to GCSE. We aim to provide pupils with knowledge, understanding and skills, helping them to contribute to and thrive in God’s world.

The curriculum aims to foster in our pupils the desire to apply themselves intellectually, creatively and physically. Pupils are taught and provided with opportunities to develop their critical and creative thinking skills, to be given the confidence to face the challenges of modern life. Therefore, the subjects we teach encourage the pupils to have an enquiring mind whilst extending their knowledge and understanding of God’s world, laying a foundation for life-long learning

Full involvement in school life and the wider church community gives them many opportunities to use and develop these skills, with enjoyment, practically and as fully as possible.

We have regular Activity Days, trips and pupil-presentations. Our pupils enjoy the opportunities to research, organise and participate on these occasions. These have included, World Book Day, Road Safety, Recycling Day, Remembrance Day, Coffee Morning to raise money for our School Charity, The Leprosy Mission.
